The DORA project presents an integrated information system that helps passengers optimise travel time from origin of the travel to the airplane as well as from the arrival airport to the final destination address, reducing overall time required for air travel. The DORA solution is launching now in June 2017 on iOS and Android platforms. The solution is piloted on the Berlin and Palma de Mallorca connection, with approximately 500 real air passengers during the year of its operation.
The DORA project presents an integrated information system that helps passengers to optimise travel time from an origin of the travel to the airplane at the departing airport as well as from the arrival airport to the final destination. The DORA solution is launching in June 2017 with a mobile app available on both iOS and Android devices as well as a web-based desktop interface. The solution is piloted on the Berlin and Palma de Mallorca connection, where it aims to provie its capability to reduce overall time needed for a typical European air travel including necessary time needed for transport to and from the airports. The pilot trial is expected to serve approximately 500 real air passengers during the year of its operation.
DORA provides mobile, seamless, and time optimised route recommendations for the travels to the airport and time optimised routing within the airports, leading the passengers through terminals to the right security and departure gates. It acts as an advanced mobility information integrator that is able to provide all necessary real time information, even accounting for disruptions in the land transport environments and incidents in the airport terminals, to provide the fastest route alternatives at any time in accordance with individual passengers’ requirements. The DORA system is designed in a generic way, to be transferrable to further locations across Europe.
